Ghana marks 76th anniversary of the 28th February Christianburg Crossroad Shooting

Today, February 28th, marks the 76th anniversary of the Christianburg Crossroad Shooting in Ghana.
Every year, the colonial police killed three ex-servicemen, Sergeant Adjetey, Cpl Attipoe, and Private Odartey Lamptey, in 1948 while they were en route to Osu Castle to deliver a petition to Sir Gerald Creasy, the Governor and Commander-in-Chief. The three are remembered in a solemn flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony.

Dr. Mahamudu Baeuumia, the vice president, is anticipated to lay a wreath on behalf of the Ghanaian people and government.

Additionally, wreaths will be arranged on behalf of traditional authorities, veterans, and security services.

One will also be laid on behalf of the fallen soldiers.
