I respect the decision of the delegates in good faith

A Parliamentary aspirant in the just-ended NPP parliamentary primaries in the Essikado-Ketan Constituency, Giovanni Osei Tutu Agyemang says he respects the delegates’ decision and accepts it in good faith.

Giovanni Osei Tutu Agyemang polled 199 votes against his two opponents, the Deputy National Lottery Authority Director, Horma Miezah who got 234 votes and former Regional Secretary Charles Bissue who won the elections with 333 votes.

Speaking on the Jolly Breakfast Fast Show he said, that even though he was disappointed with the results he is back on track looking forward to what the future holds for him.

He indicated he didn’t feel entitled to the candidature position but had a solid campaign throughout the election.

“I started my campaign in 2021, I did not feel entitled to the position as thought. People thought I felt the delegates needed to vote for me because I have worked very hard for the constituency, no! I did a solid campaign but would still have to accept the choice of the delegates.”

Giovanni further indicated out of the two opponents, his focus was on Horma Akaisie Miezah.

“I would not have said this before, but as I am saying now, out of the two opponents, the one I was focusing on was Horma Miezah because she had a very good strategy with her campaign.”
