It's my vision to restore the glory of Sekondi

Benjamin Paa Kwesi Moses, a parliamentary candidate hopeful for the Sekondi Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says his mission is to redeem Sekondi and restore its glory.

Speaking exclusively to Skyy News, Mr Paa Kwesi Moses stated that Sekondi is mourning because its been the administrative capital has been deprived of development, unlike Takoradi which sees development every day.

According to him, the woes of Sekondi must be blamed on the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Andrew Egyapa Mercer as his activities have stalled development in Sekondi.

“As we speak Sekondi is mourning, Sekondi and Takoradi are twin cities but Takoradi is getting all the development and Sekondi has been left behind.”

“Gyedu Blay-Ambolley has been pushing for development at Essel Beach, through the World Bank, he is not an MP, but an indigene of Sekondi, what I am saying is there are a lot of projects that the MP could have helped to develop which he has not, reason Sekondi is mourning” he stated.

Further, he stated plans on how he will develop Sekondi saying, “We will go to the churches, the institutions, the companies and NGOs to assist us to develop Sekondi with or without governance.”

“You should have the lobbying skills everywhere not only in parliament but the NGOs, the entities, corporate society and churches.”

Benjamin Paa Kwesi Moses also alleged that delegates are being intimidated ahead of the January 27, NPP Primaries.

“As we speak, when you go to Sekondi and you ask any of the delegates, they will tell you of this intimidation going on.”

“Tapping of Ballot papers, and threats upon threats, I will take this opportunity and let the delegates know that they can not be intimidated, when they go they should go, they can’t tamper with the ballot.”
