The Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa says former president John Mahama is not fit to match any of the four presidential aspirants of the NPP.
He made this statement on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show, in the wake of the NPP’s upcoming presidential primaries to choose the party’s representative for the general election of 2024, in which over 600 delegates will cast ballots in Takoradi on Saturday, November 4.
He said, “John Mahama cannot match any of the four presidential aspirants, looking at Addai Nimo, his ideas and plans for the country, the prowess of Afriyie Akoto, Kennedy Agypaong and Dr Alhaji Mamudu Bawumiah, who do you think the former president John Mahama can match?”
Mr Amankwaa Afrifa also said that the NPP will start preparing for the 2024 elections after electing a leader on November 4.
“We are yet to elect a leader to lead us into 2024 general elections, and after the election we will start preparing for the election and who ever the leader would be, we all will support him.”
