Ken Ofori-Atta’s approval: hoping NDC will not disappoint the people of Ghana again

The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has said he is praying and hoping the National Democratic Congress Caucus in Parliament will not disappoint Ghanaians again in its decision concerning the approval of the Minister designate for Finance, Mr Ken Ofori Atta.
“My worry is not so Ken Ofori-Atta and his performance and so on, my worry is the NDC, am praying and hoping the NDC will not disappoint the people of Ghana again because i am hearing all kinds of things which are frightening.
NDC disappoint Ghanaians approve Hawa Koomson, others
The NDC MPs early this month caused the wrath of their members and some section of the Ghanaian public when they approved 13 ministerial appointees of the President, some of whom the public were not in support of their nomination and subsequent approval.
The development causes many of its members to withdraw publicly the support for the party with others descending heavily on party leadership and the MPs.
Hoping NDC will not disappoint the people of Ghana again
Speaking on Pan African Television‘s Good Morning Africa, current affairs programme on Friday, March 29, monitored by GhanaPlus.com, Mr Pratt Jnr said he was hoping and praying that the NDC MPs would not disappoint Ghanaians again.
He explained, Mr Ofori Atta’s performance as the country’s Finance Minister in Akufo-Addo’s first term was public knowledge and the NDC caucus must be seen to be acting in the interest of the country and to alleviate the suffering of Ghanaian with its decision.
“As Ken Ofori Atta his record is there, everybody can see the record, everybody can see how the debt stock has rising, so nothing of his is hiding, everybody can see how COVID-19 allegedly has affected or not affected the economy and so on”.
This is public information, now the NDC and his caucus in parliament has to decide whether this man, Hon Ken Ofori Atta can manage the economy to alleviate the suffering of the people, ” he added.
