Make children available to receive polio vaccination

The Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Health Director, Mrs Joyce K. Bagina as part of the 2nd phase of the 2022 polio vaccination campaign is urging parents and headteachers to make children available to receive the polio vaccination dose.

According to her, during the 1st Polio Vaccination campaign, they were unable to visit the various schools in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality to vaccinate the children when schools were on vacation.

According to her, now that the schools are in session, is a good opportunity to get children less than 5 years at the Creche, Daycare and Kindergarten to vaccinate.

She said the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Health Directorate was able to vaccinate over 42,000 children within in jurisdiction in the first vaccination exercise that lasted four days.
