Popular Media General presenter, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, affectionately known as Captain Smart reported missing while in National Security custody have been found.
3news.com report the Onua TV/FM morning show host was found in police cell at the Greda Estate in Accra.
The celebrated broadcaster was reported missing on Thursday, February 3 morning hours after he was taken into National Security custody.
Captain Smart, said to be facing two respective counts of charges of extortion and abetment to extortion was whisked away by the state security shortly after an Accra Circuit Court granted him bail on Wednesday, February 2.
He was however nowhere to be found at the National Security offices when management of Media General, owners of TV3, Onua FM/TV and many others visited the facility on Thursday.
Report said no record of him was found at the Ministries Police Station as well.
“He was then caged for the night despite reportedly meeting the bail conditions,” the report noted.
“When top management of Media General, the mother company of Onua FM and Onua TV, visited the secretariat to visit the radio host, he was nowhere to be found”.
“Enquiries directed the team including Group Chief Executive Officer Beatrice Agyemang to the Ministries Police Station, where they were told he was not in the records to have been there,” 3news.com report explained.
Where is Captain Smart?– Media General Journalists cries
Earlier, TV3 NewDay presenters Jonnie Hughes, Bella Mundi and Cookie Tee said Captain Smart was nowhere to be found and quiz where he had been taken to.
They also asked the public to furnish them with any information of his where about if they had any adding “as at now we do not know Captain Smart’s where about”
Johnnie Hughes said “………….. Where is Captain Smart? that is the question the people are asking. Where is he and what is possibly holding him. What was the whole charade between keeping him at the National Security headquarters and keeping him at the Ministries Police Station? What was it suppose to have been? Was it supposed to be at the National Security or was he supposes to be kept at the Ministries Police station. What is the standard operation procedure? and what does the court say? and could the court for example decide to hold the security operative responsible for contempt of court? All of these questions are coming out but the ultimate question is?
“Where is captain Smart” Jonnie Hughes, Bella Mundi and Cookie Tee quizzed in unison.
Latest report sighted by GhanaPlus.com however, said Captain Smart has been found at the Greda Estate Police station and in good spirit also.
