J. B Danquah Adu’s case is dying a natural death – Nana Obiri Boahen bemoans

Vida Essel-LampteyThe Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and legal practitioner, Nana Obiri Boahen has express his disappointment at the turn of event in the murder case of the late Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu (J.B Danquah Adu).
Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia on Tuesday, February 1, monitored by GhanaPlus.com he said the case is dying a nature dead and blamed it on the country’s systems.
“Let me be honest, with my experience as a lawyer and the things that I seen and heard and what happens in court, I have decided If I am even crossing the street, I will run, I will not walk majestically so when you are knocked down by a car, then tomorrow the police will tell you go and come and accident report is this and that. I will not behave like learned person……We live in a system that when it get to a point and you are not careful, you will raise your hands and give up…,” Nana Obiri Boahen said.
“J.B Danquah’s case, sometimes I part my own shoulder to say that I am a man in this country. I didn’t know that J. B Danquah’s case if I was not in it, it would not have even reach where it is today.The matter is almost dying a natural death… a whole Member of Parliament, one of the financiers of the NPP will die and everybody will be silent,” Nana Obiri Boahen lamented.
Autopsy report stolen – pathologist
The New Patriotic Party’s stalwart was reacting to a revelation made by the pathologist who conducted the autopsy on the MP that the report was stolen in his absence.
Graphiconline report, Dr Lawrence Edusei told the court on Monday, January 31 that his house was burgled in September 2017 and the computer which contained the autopsy report and thousands of other autopsy reports was stolen by the thieves.
According to him, he was far away in Germany for a conference when the incident happened.
J. B Danquah Adu murdered
J. B Dankwa Adu , a Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region was murdered in his resident in Accra in February 9, 2016.
Report said he was stabbed multiple times on the neck and also on the chest”.
