New Divisional Chief installed in Daboase

In the Wassa East District of the Western Region, Mr John Armooh, a building contractor, has been appointed as the new Divisional Chief of Daboase.

He was going to sit on the stool that had belonged to Nana Nyamfo Panyin II for the previous fourteen years.

In front of the chiefs and residents of Daboase, he took the oath of allegiance during a durbar that was conducted in the town’s market square.

Prominent figures from academia, security services, and traditional and religious communities graced the occasion.

Speaking to the assembly following his installation, Nana Panyin II thanked the populace and elders for their confidence in him and vowed to advance harmony and peace to advance progress.

He said he would help the community improve its health, education, sports and other infrastructure to enhance its standard of living.

On recreational activities, Nana Panyin mentioned the prioritisation of sports development through measures that would unearth the talents of the youth in the community.

Mr Oscar Tawiah Dadzie, an elder at the palace, expressed confidence that the new Divisional Chief would lead the people to realise the desired development for the community.

He, however, implored Nana Panyin to rule his people with fairness and diligence and avoid indulging in partisan politics.

Madam Veronica Ntiako, a resident of Daboase, said: “We have never known him to be a man with bad behaviour, he is kind, God fearing and loves everyone”
