NPP vets parliamentary aspirants for orphan consituency

The New Patriotic Party has begun the vetting of parliamentary aspirants for orphan constituencies in the Western Region.

The Exercise began on Tuesday, November 13, and will end on Wednesday, November 14, as they vet parliamentary aspirants for 6 constituencies that the NPP could not win the seats in the last general elections.

These constituencies are Amenfi Central, Amenfi East, Prestea-Huni Valley, Wassa East, Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira and Ellembele Constituency.

In a press statement signed by the Western Regional Secretary of the NPP, Okatakyie A. Afrifa, it stated that;

“Pursuant to the National Executive Committee (NEC)’s directive on the conduct of Parliamentary Primaries in Orphan Constituencies after Friday, 10th November 2023 NEC meeting, the Western Regional Executive Committee has scheduled the vetting of prospective Parliamentary Aspirants of six (6) Orphan”

The Constituencies concerned should take note and make sure ALL their CPEC members are present for the exercise.

“Note that members of the Regional Executive Committee and Constituency Executive Committee are to be present as observers during the vetting sessions.”
