The National Service Secretariat is proposing an increment in the allowances of service personnel after tendering in an application.
Mr Osei Assibbey Antwi, the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) who made this information known said the proposal which has been approved by the board is awaiting approval from the Education Ministry.
He was speaking at the National Service Personal Mini Congress in the Volta Region where he said, “We have sent the demands of the NSS executives demanding an increment in the allowance to the board which has been approved, so we have sent it to the Central Government for them to look into the allowance issue, rest assured, you will smile as the others are also smiling.”
The Volta Regional Minister Dr Archibald Lectture expressed optimism that Akuffo Addo’s government will rescue Ghana from the current economic crises.
