A motorcycle rider has met his untimely death after colliding with an articulator truck at Anaji, in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region.
The sad event occurred on Saturday, March 9, along the Nkroful-Apollo Bypass road when the articulator truck that was on a top speed ran over the motorcycle rider after taking a sharp curve at a section around the Anaji Choice Mart.
The rider died on the spot after his head was smashed and his brain was seen popping out.
Some of the eyewitnesses to the accident blamed the articulator driver for driving at top speed whilst in the middle of a city and sadly causing the death of the Okada Rider.
Others also believe that the Okada rider missed his lane, which caused the accident. In the meantime, personnel from the Ghana Police Service have conveyed the body of the Okada rider to the mortuary for autopsy whilst the articulator driver is assisting in investigations.
Further information indicates that the deceased left behind a wife and two children but his identity is yet to be revealed.
