The Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifra says the orphan constituencies in the Nzema enclave have not been ignored as its been perpetuated.
This comes after no election was held in any of the orphan constituencies in the Nzema enclave namely, Ellembelle and Evalue Ajomoro Gwira for several reasons.
According to Mr Afrifra, There is a court injunction on the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira election, and also one of the aspiring candidates standing for the Ellembelle constituency is serving a suspension at the regional level, and for this reason, elections were not held in these areas.
“These constituencies have not been ignored, it’s for the reason of a court injunction and the suspension of one of the aspiring parliamentary candidates that the elections were not held.”
He said the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira election will be held this upcoming Saturday.
“We will hold the elections in Evalue Ajomoro Gwira on Saturday, December 9.”
