Bawumia’s mother passes on
The Vice President’s mother passed away on September Monday, 13, a day after the celebrated man of God was arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
The popular election prophet was arrested for assaulting and injuring police officers deployed to effect his arrest for leading men welding and brandishing weapons in the house of converted fetish priestess, Patricia Asiedu, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.
He was subsequently remanded into Police custody by an Accra High Court together with four other members of his church and later granted a 200,000 cedis bail with two sureties.
Hajia Bawumia has since been buried in accordance to the Muslim tradition at Kperiga, Walewale in the North East Region and the final funeral right set for October 24.
She was 82 at the time of her dead.
