Government policies have reduce how difficult things would have been – Richard Asante Yeboah

The Deputy Communication Director of the governing New Patriotic Party, Mr Richard Asante Yeboah has said but for some of government policies, life will even be worse for Ghanaians than it is currently.

Speaking on TheKeyPoint on TV3 monitored by GhanaPlus.com on Saturday, July 9, he said government programmes such as the free SHS has reduce the difficulties to some extent.

“Government has always been prepared to address some of these matters, because I see that even some of the government policies have turn out to reduce how difficult things will have been for the country or even our public sector or our teachers or all these people we are talking about,” Mr Asante Yeboah said.

“Because you know that if even under this circumstances …assuming there was no policy like pupils’ school fees being paid as a result of the free education, imaging picking whatever salary you are taking right now and going ahead to pay the school fees of your kids and that of maybe other relatives or individuals, it will have a telling effect on you” he explained.

Mr Asante Yeboah made the comment when contributing to discussions on the labour agitations in the country.
