Regional Minister tours Amenfi districts; Inspects and commissions projects

The Western Regional Minister, as part of his visit to the 3 Amenfi’s started his tour from Amenfi East and Ended in Wasa Amenfi West, where he commissioned a modern education office and a boys dormitory for the Asankragwa Senior High School.

Before the Commissioning, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah met with the staff of the Municipal Assembly where he encouraged them to give in all their best to the municipality to which they have been posted.

He also advised them not to see themselves as being in a deprived place but rather build on that to make people know what they are doing.

Some of the Staff during the meeting raised issues of accommodation and the road from Bordie to Asankragwa, where he mentioned that he has tasked the MMDCEs on the said stretch to grade and make the road motorable as soon as possible so they should not worry and the government is also on course to help construct the road.

The Regional Minister after the commission also inspected the Wasa Dunkwa Poly Clinic being done by Government.

“I am happy with what I have come to see so far, and very soon, the President will come and commission this Project…” he said.

The program was graced by Nananom, former MCE for Amenfi West (Hon George Agyiri), and the current MCE, Mr Lord Nana Tandoh, who was the leader of the delegation.

The Minister in ending up the tour said his Government has so far performed well in the galamsey fight.

“We are not done fighting that Menace but I believe we shall overcome it. If you want to do mining, see your MCE or DCE and go through the process and mine,” The Minister Said.
