Stakeholders of the Anaji CK Mann Park at Anaji Estate in the Effia-Kwesiminstim Municipality are expected to have a meeting on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

This comes after it was reported that the Anaji CK Mann Park has been sold to a private investor who tends to re-develop the site into an ultra-modern sports complex.

This development has generated a bit of tension between the Anaji Estate Residents Association and the government officials responsible for the sale of the land.

According to the Anaji Estate Residents Association, the Anaji CK Mann Park is a very important asset to the community as it serves as an event centre, football field and other important purposes and as stakeholders, they were not consulted before the processing of the sale.

The Anaji Estate Association chairman, Mr Sydney Cofie speaking during a meeting among residents on Sunday, January 22, said the park belongs to the community and was initially meant for the development of a market but since the project keeps delaying, it was converted into a football park.

The Stakeholders that will be meeting on Sunday are officials of Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), the Chief of Effia, Officials of State Housing and the Anaji Estate Residents Association.
