Students of Holy Child College boycott exams
The students of Holy Child College of Education in Sekondi of the Western Region have boycotted their examination on Thursday, December 1.
According to reports gathered by Skyy Power 93.5FM, the teachers of the school have been on strike for about three weeks now and the students believe they have not adequately prepared for the examination.
This comes after the University of Cape Coast (UCC), presented the school with their examination papers to begin their exams today.
They also suggest that since the teachers are on strike which has led to the halt of all academic activities, the examination must halt as well.
The principal of Holy Child College of Education speaking to Skyy News, Mr Dr Francis Hull Adams said the government will need to negotiate with the necessary stakeholders to resolve the strike for smooth academic activities.
He said, “I am appealing to the government not to relent to bring the people together and come to an amicable solution.”
“The strike has really affected the school, the teachers are not lecturing, counselling and other things they need to do, this is a problem for us and we hope this is resolved.”
