The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Freezones Authority (FZA) Mr Mike Oquaye says the authority is planning on industrialising the Western Region by capitalising on its resources.
According to him, they are planning of promoting some specialise hubs in the country which are wood processing and petrochemical production and the Western Region is the target for this activity.
He also added that Takoradi will soon get some of the biggest hangars for the aeroplane business in Ghana.
