Information reaching skyypowerfm.com indicates that transport fares have gone up by 20% today, November 2, after the recent fuel increment.
Confirming this news to us was the chairman of the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) in Takoradi, Mr Joseph Eshun on the Skyy Headline News at One.
He indicated that the increment has taken effect and drivers in the Metropolis have already started working with the new fares.
However, they are engaging the necessary stakeholders to discuss the next steps to take because drivers are calling for a strike rather than an increment.
