Western Region poise to come out victorious and secure victory in 2024

The Western Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is poised to come out victorious in their upcoming regional executive elections and secure more seats for the party and a victory in the 2024 general elections.

Out of the Fourth two (42) candidates seeking to lead different positions in the NDC party in the Western Region are some popular names like the incumbent regional chairman, Nana Kojo Toku who is closely contested by Gibrilu Alhassan Laminn.

Gibrilu Alhassan Laminn who is an exporter of rubber claims he stands a better chance of uniting the party, building its structures and resourcing the grassroots than the incumbent chairman.

But Nana Toku as he is popularly called believes he has worked and served and that the delegates will reward him for his hard work by retaining him as the chairman of the party.

The immediate past constituency chairman for Shama, Samuel K. Borlu in an exclusive interview with Skyy News’ Patrick Ennimil Arthur said, his vast worth of experience coupled with his grassroots mobilization skill will beneficial to the party both at the regional and national level.

A businessman and a failed parliamentary hopeful for the Effia Constituency, Michael Otoo says his versatility as a businessman who understands the principles of working with people and through people he is poised to collaborate well with the party executives and the grassroots to secure a victory for the party in the 2024 general elections.

Meanwhile incumbent treasurer, Daniel Darlington Atitso, Communication Officer, Enerst Richard Kirk Mensah and his Deputy, Ebenezer Essien was declared unopposed at the end of the vetting.

The 2022 NDC regional conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

According to the party’s communique sighted by Skyy News, Women and Youth Conferences will take place simultaneously prior to the main elections.
