The Western Regional Ghana National Fire Service Command has stated they are very much prepared for Xmas festivities as their task force teams will be visible on the grounds.

Speaking exclusively to Skyy News, ADO2 Afua Pongo said the task force will be at the beaches, Westside Carnival scenes, hotels and the mall and their purpose of being around is to instil fire safety.

He said they will do it by inspecting fire extinguishers at these locations and also checking the wiring of some of these facilities.

She said, “The task force will be wherever programs are being organised where the general public will be around and the reason is to instil fire safety. Even at the beaches, we will check the electrical wiring of these facilities and also see to it that there are lifeguards where people are swimming and prevent those who are drunk from swimming.
