WR NRSA boss commits to seeing reduction in road crashes – Skyy Power FM
The newly appointed Western Regional National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) Director, Mr. Victor Kojo Saah Bilson says he is committed to seeing a reduction in crashes, injuries and deaths on the roads.
Speaking to Skyy News, he said he will be doing this on the backbone of the Stay Alive campaign, a nationwide flagship program to curtail road crashes and deaths.
He said they have been recording consistent decreases in road crashes over the last months and they are looking at ways to maintain the situation.
He said the Stay Alive Road campaign falls on two pillars and he believes when it is executed perfectly, they will see a reduction in injuries and death in the country and region at large.
He said, “Stay Alive Road Safety campaign, we have two major pillars that we fall on, Number one is for each and everyone to take safety as our personal priority and number two is for agencies will come on board, play their part be it enforcement, engineering, education. This is because road safety falls on 4 major E’s; Enforcement, Engineering, Education and Emergency Services, so when we have all these agencies coming on board, then we can have a complete system, that is the safe system approach and we can manage safety better on our road employing these technologies.”
He advised road users to take safety as a personal priority.
