The National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw has described the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government as COVID-17.
That she said was because the government was riddled with suffering, job losses, collapsed business, filth etc and ultimately dead which were symptoms of the deadly COVID-19 disease.
Dr Bisiw, a former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration in an interview with Starr FM’s Starr Chat on Wednesday, May 5, monitored by GhanaPlus.com said Ghanaians including herself had been enduring hardship under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Nana Akufo Addo’s government since they took office in 2017 hence the name COVID-17.
“I may not take out covid-17, that is this government; COVID-17 is President Nana Addo’s government. What does COVID do? Do you know the symptoms? Suffering, loss of jobs, collapse of business, filth, this is the COVID-17 symptoms and then it ends up in people dying,” the NDC politician said.
We are suffering
She indicated there had been increase in almost everything in the country under the tenure of the President Akufo-Addo affecting livelihood and personal development as well.
“We are suffering, today what is the price of fuel, can we build houses anymore? Today water is scarce in Ghana, today we are paying borla tax,” she lamented.
