The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in his 72-page visions statement claimed that Ghana ranked first in West Africa and fourth in Africa on the E-Governance index
CLAIM; According to the UNDP 2022 E-Governance index, Ghana is ranked
Number one in West Africa and Number four in the whole of Africa in terms of E-Governance.
Verified
According to the 2020 and 2022 United Nations E-Government Surveys Chapter 2, page 63 said that Ghana ranks number one in West Africa and seventh in Africa.
Verdict
Dr. Bawumia was right in saying that Ghana ranks number one in West Africa but was misled by saying that Ghana ranks Number four in the whole of Africa.
