Freddie Blay Urges NPP Members to work together for the greater good
Mr Freddie Blay, the outgoing National Chairman of the New Patriotic (NPP) has appealed to all aspirants seeking to occupy National Executive positions in the Party to work together irrespective of the outcome of today’s elections.
He said members of the Party had a “great task ahead” by ensuring that the Party retained power in the 2024 general election.
“We should all continue to remain united and focus on the great task ahead irrespective of our differences,” Mr Blay said when he addressed delegates at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference being held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He added: “I encourage you all to utilise the tools of negotiation and consensus building to unite the Party. We should make the needed sacrifices and compromises.”
More than 6,700 delegates have gathered at the Stadium to elect national officers to steer the affairs of the Party for the next four years.
The conference is on theme: “Holding together, working together.”
Mr Blay said in spite of the challenges his administration encountered, it had worked hard to unify and strengthen the Party.
“The NPP is as much in a better shape than what our team inherited, ” he said, adding that: “through team work and patience, we will stay together and united.”
