Celebrated investigative Journalist, Manasseh Awuni Azuri has responded to the reactions which have greeted the last will and testament of the late former Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, affectionately called Sir John since its surface online.
In a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com, the Investigative Journalist who revealed some portion of the will in a publication titled “FULL DETAILS: Achimota Forest lands, gold businesses and guns in Sir John’s will said the full details of the document in their custody will overwhelm the Ghanaian public.
He added what the public have seen is only a page of of the 12pages will and testaments in their possession.
“You’ve seen only 1 page of Sir John’s will and you are screaming. @fourthestategh (The Fourth Estate) has all the pages. Keep refreshing this page. It will blow your mind,” his tweet reads.

FULL DETAILS: Achimota Forest lands, gold businesses and guns in Sir John’s will
The Fourth Estate, a non-profit, public interest and accountability investigative journalism project of the Media Foundation for West Africa in its latest publication has revealed, Sir John who until his death was the Chief Executive Officer of the Forest Commission of Ghana has willed some 5.5 acres of the Achimota Forest Reserve to named persons.
“I give my land situate at the Achimota Forest in the name of Jakaypro Limited and measuring 5.541 acres to the following persons forever.
–Yaw Amoateng Afriyie -One (1) acre
— Eva Akua Afriyie One (1) acre
–Ivy Akua Afriyie One (1) acre
–Elizabeth Asare Boateng (aka Mother) One (1) acre
–Michael Owusu 1.541 acres
On page 5 of the will, it is stated: “I give my land also situate at the Achimota Forest in the name of Fasoh Limited and measuring 0.987acres to my nephews Michael Owusu, Yaw Boadu and Kwabena Amoateng forever.”
On the same page, the will states: “I jointly own a piece of land at Achimota Forest with Charles Owusu. Upon my demise, my portion of the said land should be given to Ruth Korkor Odonkor.”
That’s not all. On the same page 5 and still on the Achimota Forest, the will states: “I give my portion of land that jointly own at the Achimota Forest in the name of DML Limited to Elizabeth Asare Boateng who at the time of making this will is domiciled in the USA forever,” the Forth Estate said.
Sir John also willed some Government of Ghana Ramsar lands; a wetlands site designated to be of international importance under the Ramsar convention and located at Sakumono in Accra to the named persons.
Among other things, the report also mentioned houses, guns, gold business all listed in the NPP politicians last will and testaments.
The properties were bequeath to his children, sisters and their children.
The report has since received various reactions from the Ghanaian public, social media users most, especially.
This is the will of a Deceased politician and former NPP appointee. Can you imagine how much wealth the past government led by bossu accrued and what the Nana-Bawumia appointees are also getting?

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie dies of COVID-19
The Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie was reported dead on July 2, 2020 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
He was reported to have died of COVID-19 making him the first politician to have succumbed to the disease which has killed millions of people worldwide.
He was buried at Sakora Wonno in the Ashaniti Region on June last year, nearly a year after he passed on.
