The Deputy National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Elvis Banoemuleng Botah has slam the Christian community for visiting the former President, John Dramani Mahama over the government proposed electronic transaction levy.
According to him, it is not in their place to do so.
Mr Botah questioned how much the community contributes to the national coffers from the tithe they receive to warrant the action they took.
“It is not in the place of the Christian council to do so. They collect tithe every now and then to the tune of millions of cedis we do not know. How much are they contributing to the state on the basis of the tithe they receive. Even what belongs to God they take and they do not want to share with the state and so it is a no go area for them to want do what they have done” Mr Botah said.
