The goal post for some leaders within the Western Region’s NPP governance has been shifted in the just ended regional delegates conference held at the Nzema Manle Complex at Ampian in the Ellembelle constituency.

Big names such as Abdul Ganiyu the incumbent Regional Organiser lost the position to Mr Amoabeng Owusu Acheampong with over 32 votes margin polling 181 as against the incumbent’s 149.

Madam Abena Kwalla lost the women organiser rank to Ms Josephine Yaw Odoom who polled 198 against her 127.
Okatakyie Afrifa Amankwa who went to the competition with a slogan”TimeAso” had been heard and favoured by delegates over the others bagging 196 valid votes with Nana Adjoa Appiah becoming his Assistant.

However, the Chairman, Mr. Ndede retained his position as he was unopposed, while Mr Asafoakye Badu was elected first Vice Chair and with Kwame Armah taking the second Vice slot over the other three contestants.

Meanwhile, Horma Akesi Mieza polled 175 votes to be retained as the Treasurer.
Mr. Benedict Addae won the youth organiser slot with 218 votes, while the Nasara Coordinator emerged with 213 in favour of Al-Labib Imam Ali.

The 330 delegates according to the election results brought in six new entrants and allowed four to continue in a new tenure for the party.

The newly elected executives had since been sworn into office by Philip Kwesi Nkrumah, also a former Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive.
