NPP Primaries: Kennedy Osei Nyarko shocks Accountant-General
Kennedy Osei Nyarko, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) current member of parliament for Akyem Swedru, has kept his position as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the elections scheduled for December 7.
The three-term lawmaker got 196 votes in a hotly contested election against two other contenders.
His two competitors, Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem, the Controller, and Accountant-General, finished in second with 94 votes, while Jerome Okyere-Akordor, a businessman from Tema, came in third with 10 votes.
A total of 296 votes were cast.
