24-hour economy proposal is a well-thought-out policy unlike Free SHS
Music rights activist, Rex Omar has said the 24-hour economy proposal by former president John Mahama is a well-thought-out policy, unlike the free Senior High School(SHS) initiative.
During an interview on Cape Coast-based Property FM, Rex Omar said the 24-hour policy will be dealt with step by step.
“When we say we’re going to initiate a 24-hour economy, it doesn’t mean everything will change overnight suddenly”, he disclosed.
“I don’t think this idea will be wholesale like free SHS so people will sit down and there’s a committee that has been put in place to deal with this issue.
“It’ll be dealt with step by step according to how it’ll benefit the country for it to achieve the aim set for it, so the most important thing is the idea”.
The issue of a 24-hour economy has become topical and debatable with many sharing their opinion as to whether it’s just a political gimmick or otherwise.
