Award schemes globally haven’t been fair to Gospel musicians – Moses O.K
Songwriter and musician, Moses O.K has criticized awards schemes all over the world saying organizers of these schemes have not been fair to Gospel musicians including himself.
To him, the focus of most of the award schemes globally has been placed on secular music to the neglect of Gospel music.
“When you take a clear look at the numerous awards schemes in the world, you could realize that, their focus is truly not on Gospel music”, Moses OK told Angel FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The award-winning singer further argued that, no matter how a Gospel musician performs in a particular year under review, no award schemes will adjudge such musician as overall best artiste, especially at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) organized in Ghana.
“Years ago Gospel songs were all over the country but in Ghana no matter how your song becomes a hit, you cannot win artiste of the year or song of the year”, Moses O.K stated.
