Beatz Vampire explains why it is wrong for Nigerians to claim ownership of Afrobeats
Ghanaian producer of the moment, Beatz Vampire has controversially explained why Afrobeats is not from Nigeria.
The multiple hit-making sound engineer disclosed that Afrobeats is a combination of African sounds but Nigerians are fronting it.
“Let me explain the reason why I wrote on social media that there is nothing like Afrobeats from Nigeria but Afrobeats belongs to Africa.
He explained as MyNewsGh.com sighted “And the reason is that most Ghanaians think that we’re in competition with other African countries or the Nigerian market.
“But Afrobeats is not Nigerian music but rather Afrobeats is a combination of African sounds that’s how I see it,” he told Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast.
“In terms of production wise they invest including marketing and they are fronting Afrobeats so everyone says Nigerian music”.
