Don’t abandon God’s work in pursuit of your selfish interest – Joe Mettle
Gospel singer Joe Mettle born Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle has asked fellow men serving in the house of the Lord not to shirk their responsibilities of winning souls for Christ in pursuit of their selfish interest.
According to him, such situations leave the Church hanging which does not help in the progress of the work of God.
Joe Mettle also spoke against people in Church who get themselves involved in almost every activity but out of the blue disappear without notice for the church to get their replacement.
To him, for the smooth continuation of the work of God, “you should be able to train people so that in you absence they can take over.”
Speaking on Kumasi-based Luv FM in an interview, Joe Mettle stressed “You say you are serving God but you have taken over everything, you sing, drumming you do, praises and worship you do, prayers you will lead; you will lead everything and all of a sudden you will say God is calling you then you leave the church hanging.“
“When you do that you are not helping. You if you think that God is calling you to an external ministry you start raising people to cover what you do there so that you will leave the work of God hanging”, he advised.
