Why I use the word "serious" when performing

Honouring legends or people who have fought for the country in any way has always sparked varying concerns and debates.

In most cases, people who have lifted the flag of the country high either through music, sports, movie or whatsoever feel neglected by the country mostly in their old age.

There is a tall list of celebrities who have died in poverty in the country while leadership looks unconcern.

This has brought the discussion as to how best the country can look after its legends and honour them while they live.

Speaking on the matter, legendary Highlife musician, Daniel Amakye Dede popularly known in showbiz as Amakye Dede has also chastised the leadership of the country saying, they do not honour people who have contributed their quota to the nation.

When asked in an interview on GHOne TV with Nana Aba Anamoah whether the country has done well in honouring legends like him, Amakye Dede sharply responded, “In fact, for that one, I can prove to you that it is not good. We are not honoured. We (the country) don’t honour our heroes at all”.

According to the “Iron Boy” hitmaker, the only group of people honoured is the politicians.
