Award-winning self-acclaimed Ghanaian Dancehall artist Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has he had tried many times to call other musicians to come together and fight for their rights but anytime he makes the attempt, they turn him down.

According to him, he has decided to fight alone since other musicians have refused to join him in the fight especially on issues pertaining to royalties.

“I have told a lot of artistes in Ghana that I don’t know why we can’t come together and fight for royalties, fight for things that will make us rich. When I look at the American artistes, I could see that it is just something that has made their lives better so if we have that mindset we can also do good but anyone you speak to them and they are like these people will not do it and those things push me off. So I have made my mind that let me sacrifice myself.” Shatta Wale told Nhyira FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

He also accused some individuals in the music industry if tagging him as a disrespectful when he tries to speak his mind on things that are not done right.

“It’s like from where I am in my music career when I say things that are not right, then people take it as if I don’t respect”, he chided.
