Gospel musicians are ungrateful – Music Producer

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 2AJ Music Production Joseph Asamoah Asiamah has revealed that Producers are shying away from upcoming gospel musicians due to ingratitude in the music industry.

According to him, Music Producers instead are more eager to invest in secular music than gospel music because the majority of gospel musicians are ungrateful.

His comments come in the wake of a split between the Management of Frimprince Music Production and Evangelist Diana Asamoah over a breach in their contractual agreement.

In a brief interaction with the media in Kumasi ahead of his annual ‘Before His Throne’ event, he explained that upcoming gospel musicians are struggling to get producers to push their talents because of how some popular gospel musicians treated their producers.

“Though some secular musicians are ungrateful but producers who invest in secular musicians are able to get back their investment as compared to producers who invest in gospel musicians” the producer explained.

He added “a secular musician with few hit songs can charge a huge amount of money for a program but is difficult for a gospel musician to charge the same amount for an event”

“But on several occasions when a producer invests much on an upcoming gospel musician, the reward for the producer is ungratefulness. The producer will not get back his investment but you will see the gospel artist switching to a different camp” he explained.
