Heavy makeup and branding drive the Holy Spirit away
Gospel Musician, Patience Nyarko is of the view that Gospel Artiste who wear heavy makeup and are so keen on branding drive away the holy spirit.
She says it’s imperative to follow and do the work of the lord without seeking public approval by wearing heavy makeup and looking excessively good.
“It is imperative for gospel musicians and ministers to focus on the work of God. Too much focus on branding instead of the work can draw the holy spirit away from you.
We all wear makeup, but when performing, you become too stiff and so even if the holy spirit wants to use you at the time because you don’t want your makeup cleared off, you don’t avail yourself. So we should as Gospel artistes not focus on some of these things.
I did not say we should not look good and think about branding, but we should not do it too much so that the holy spirit can use us,” she said onAccra-based UTV.
