How my father ‘Be Bold’ influenced my music career

Mohammed Ismail Sherif known professionally as Black Sherif, a Ghanaian musician and performer, has shared fond memories of his father who is popularly known as ‘Be Bold’.

Speaking on the Kastle Entertainment Show to mark this year’s Father’s Day celebration, ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker, revealed how his father inspired him to take his songs to TV and radio stations for airplay.

According to the ‘Gold Digga’ crooner, his father told him to be bold and send his songs to media houses for airplay without paying any amount that they ask him to pay before showing his videos or playing his songs.

“I remember some time back I think 2019 or 2020 my father called me I said won’t you take your songs to TV3 and other stations for them to play it for you because I’ve never seen your music be played before,” he said.

“So I told my father that as for those places I need to pay a lot of money before they play my songs and he told me to be bold and take my songs to those places,” he told Amansan Krakye in a one-on-one interview.

“He said my son take your songs there and when you get there tell them this is my song play it for me because my father is the one known as being bold and that’s actually his nickname,” he ended on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.
