I didn’t mislead Ghanaians with my 2016 Akufo-Addo endorsement
Award-winning actress, Christiana Awuni has disagreed with the opinion that she led Ghanaians astray by endorsing then Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2016.
The popular Kumawood movie icon said she has now learnt her lessons and has defected to join the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to win the 2024 elections.
She stated “I don’t know if our colleague actors and actresses who supported NPP have been let down because that’s their choice.
“However, those of us who were part of them but have now changed our minds to be part of the NDC that’s also our choice right now.
“Yes I won’t lie that we also endorsed the NPP in the 2016 elections and voted massively for them to come to power,” she said on social media seen by Amansan Krakye of MyNewsGh.com
She opined “But I disagree with you if you say that I have also let Ghanaians down because you have your own opinion and I also do have my own opinion”.
