I don’t charge for performing
Gospel musician Amy Newman says she has never charged for events she performs at.
She says her generation of musicians were more focused on the Ministry work than making monetary gains and that has been the case to date.
Amy Newman was speaking on Accra-based UTV when she made this known.
“I don’t charge when I perform at events. The organizers give me something at the end of the day. I expect that you know I’m coming from Takoradi so something that can pay for my fuel will be great!
On the highest amount she has ever received, she indicated that someone blessed her with Ghc16,000 recently indicating that “we take Ghc 5,000 and sometimes even Ghc1000 for performing”.
To Amy Newman, she believes that singing at events, helps win souls and therefore she cannot charge for her ministry.
