I wonder why event organizers don’t book me for shows – Rocky Dawuni
Three times Grammy Award Nominee Rocky Dawuni is shocked why Ghanaian event organizers have refused to book him for shows in the country despite his massive international recognition.
The Ghanaian international reggae singer is of the view that, though he has been nominated three times at the Grammys, he still doesn’t know why organizers do not book him despite living in Ghana in the last four years.
Rocky Dawuni who spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com suspect that event organizers feel they cannot afford to pay his charges
“It’s nothing about budget, somebody asked the same question and I told the person I have no control over whether event organizer will book me”, Rocky Dawuni said.
According to him, there is nothing he can do for event organizers to book him to perform because he does not have control over their activities.
“With that I don’t have control over it. However, it is a question we need to ask any event organizer why is Rocky Dawuni is not booked on events after being nominated for Grammys three times”., he quizzed
