I won’t risk producing my music in Ghana -Amakye Dede
Legendary Highlife artiste Abrantie Amakye Dede has disclosed that even though music producers in Ghana are doing well, he will not risk producing his songs in Ghana.
He says if he has to work on an album even in recent times, he will have to work with producers from Germany who he has over the years worked with.
Amakye Dede made this known when he spoke to Nana Aba Anamoah in an interview on Accra-based Starr FM.
“Why not, I will still go to Germany. Well Ghanaians are doing well nowadays but for me, if I want to come out I will still go to Germany,” he said. When Nana Aba Anamoah told him of the advancement in Ghana he insisted that “no, no, I won’t do that”.
Abrantie Amakye Dede said he is trying to do songs with the young artistes in Ghana indicating that he will soon release a song that features one of the best young artistes.
The legendary Amakye Dede indicated that it’s imperative that music lovers do not pressurize musicians to release songs because it takes a lot to produce quality music.
