I’m happy my song is being used as TV3 ‘Big Issue’ soundbite
Maame Esi Awotwe popularly known as Essi, a Ghanaian singer, has revealed her excitement that her ‘Mama Africa’ song is being used by TV3.
The ‘Mama Africa’ song which tackled problems in Africa is on her G.O.O.D tape album and is being used as the sound bite by TV3 on their big issue program.
In an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, Essi revealed to Amansan Krakye that the issues she addressed in her song are critical and very educative.
She stated “TV3 is my house because I won Talented Kids Season 2 so when they hear my song every time people send me messages that my song is being played on TV3.
“I think it’s because the song talks about social issues and things people want to know and sends awareness and also educating as well,” she said monitored by MyNewsGh.com
Essi continued “I think it’s the best song for them to play and I’m not sure they would have played any song better to suit that occasion so I’m happy my song is a theme song for that”.
