Individual artistes struggling to blow in the Ghana music industry
Highlife recording musician, Joseph Nkrumah Buabeng known in showbiz as Nero X has disclosed that individual artistes are struggling to make it big in the Ghana music industry.
Talking during an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, the ‘Yawa Dey’ crooner said doing music in Ghana comes with a huge cost but those who succeed get good returns.
He stated, “Investors in Ghana should come into the creative arts industry because it’s very a lucrative business with a lot of money involved.
“Because we have not invested much into it so individual arts are struggling to do something for him or herself and it’s not easy,” he remarked.
He added on the Kastle Entertainment Show, “Right now to shoot a music video you need over 20K or 30K to shoot just a video and promotion and everything has not even been added yet.
“If you are able to do it and do it well you’d get times 10 but because we’ve not seen how to go about it that’s our problem in our music industry,” he told the host.
