Ghana-based Liberian musician, Jonathan Lee Pratt popularly known as JZyNo has said it’s divisive to ask DJs to play 100% Ghanaian songs.

JZyNo who made his musical breakthrough whilst residing in Ghana said Africans should stop fighting each other and use love and connection to win the outside world.

The ‘Eyes on You’ crooner wrote in a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com on social media that only artistes who don’t believe in a global move would ever suggest the PlayGhana initiative.

“Only lazy artistes who depend only on talent rather than business or those that don’t believe in a global move would ever suggest such.

United we stand, divided we fall. ♥️🤚🏽,” JZyNo added.

Ghanaian musicians, including Black Sherif, Samini, Smallgod and others have joined forces to promote the #PlayGhana initiative, aimed at boosting the presence of Ghanaian music on the airwaves.

The artistes gathered in front of the Ministry of Information in Ghana to deliberate on the initiative, which seeks to advocate for the implementation of a 70% local content law, similar to that of Nigeria, to increase the playing of Ghanaian music.
