Lyrical Joe can battle a lot of the top rappers in America
Nigerian Grammy Award-winner, Burna Boy recently revealed that African artistes doing rap music lack originality and won’t be able to penetrate the international market.
However, in a sharp rebuttal, Ghanaian music producer, Mix Master Garzy has stated that though rap music originated in America but his artiste, Lyrical Joe can battle a lot of their top rappers.
“Even in America where rap music started, there are some people who can even do it better than them and if you take Lyrical Joe to America he can battle a lot of their rappers,” he told Amansan Krakye.
He added on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM “Even with some of the top rappers in America that we know they’ve put in a lot of work to get to that status but that doesn’t mean that they originated rap music so nobody can do it better.
“Someone even said in their song that you brought it but we made it big so you just have to believe in yourself and then deliver when you are called,” he remarked monitored by MyNewsGh.com
“Even the software that we use in producing music was done by them but I bet you what I can do with it even some of them might not be able to use it the way I will do,” he bragged.
