Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has called for the heads of all persons through whose hands the American rapper, Meek Mill got the opportunity to shoot a video at the seat of Ghana’s Presidency, the Jubilee House.

The rapper who was recently in Ghana for the festive season on Sunday night released excerpts of a music video he shot at the seat of government at Canda in Accra.

The video featured portions of the edifice declared a highly security zone to the public and most importantly, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s lectern, from which he addresses the Ghanaian public whenever the need be.

Believed to have been shot on the very day, the rapper met the President at the Jubilee House for a chit chat on his arrival into the country, portions of the lyrics of the song chance upon by GhanaPlus.com, however, has nothing to do with Ghana or the Presidency.

Sharing the video he wrote “NOT INDUSTRY POWERED” we make the narrative… GHANAAAAA…I felt like a king!!! “All real footage” “power rap”…at the presidential villa”.

Ablakwa react to Meek Mill’s Jubilee House video

Reacting to the video, In a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com on Monday, January 9, Mr Ablakwa questioned if the Jubilee House is no longer a security zone and also how the content of the rapper’s song will project Ghana positively.

He called for all persons responsible for what he described as the despicable desecration of the Jubilee House to be fired immediately.

“All those responsible for this despicable desecration of the Jubilee House by Meek Mill must be fired immediately. How do those explicit lyrics from the president’s lectern project Ghana positively? Is Ghana’s seat of government no longer a high security installation?,”Mr Ablakwa tweet reads.

The video has attracted massive criticism from the Ghanaian public and has since been removed by the rapper.
