Veteran musician, Mzbel has said that many Ghanaians perceive the rich African tradition and culture as idolatry so they don’t involve themselves.

“Many Ghanaians see issues of our culture and traditions as something relating to idolatry so they don’t involve themselves but I really like it,” she remarked.

Speaking on Property FM with Amansan Krakye, the singer said involving herself in issues of our traditional heritage has benefited her immensely.

MzbeL said “I feel that you have to be proud of where you come from and I’m a Ghanaian because my mother comes from Somnaya, my Dad is from Mankessim but I was born in James Town.

“I grew up in Accra so I feel that our traditional heritage is who I am and I can’t adopt what belongs to some other people.

“And when I involve myself in our tradition and things that relate with our culture it helps me a lot and it’s very beneficial,” she added as MyNewsGh.com monitored.

“When you learn about our tradition and culture you’d realize that it is very rich and it’s something that can help the whole country if we focus our minds on it”.
