Oboy Siki reveals his price tag to openly support NDC or NPP
Kumawood actor Nana Kofi Agyemang well known on screens as Oboy Siki has said any of the country’s leading political parties wishes to contract him to campaign for them, then they must be ready to pay him in dollars else there will be no deal.
According to Oboy Siki, he took this decision because he has come to the realization that, all the political actors use the US dollar in their dealings hence he will also not take the Ghana Cedi should he agree to endorse any of the two major political parties.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Hello FM on the show “Hello Entertainment Review” monitored by MyNewsGH.com, veteran Oboy Siki stressed that “as I sit here if you want me to campaign for your party then you need to come so that we talk about charging in dollars. I won’t come to you”.
He indicated that charging in dollars will help him develop a thick skin against insults from the public
According to him, he is joining politics because most of his peers in the movie industry have moved into politics after the near collapse of the industry.
“I have understood that, if the film industry is collapsed, you need to enter into politics and I really do understand politics”, he told Dave Hammer.
